The American Red Cross plays a critical role in our Nation’s health care system. It is the largest single supplier of blood and blood products in the United States, collecting and processing more than 40 percent of the blood supply and distributing it to some 3,000 hospitals and transfusion centers nationwide..

Puget Sound Blood Center
Puget Sound Blood Center was established in 1944, combining Western Washington’s community-based blood bank with an integrated Research Institute. The Blood Center operates the world’s largest centralized transfusion service, serving patients in more than 70 hospitals and clinics and providing tissue and transplantation support to 185 hospitals across the U.S. Pacific Northwest.

Carter BloodCare’s board of directors is made of local leaders, including medical professionals, hospital administrators, business and civic leaders. Our highest priority is meeting the needs of the community.

Founded in 1962, America’s Blood Centers is North America’s network of non-profit community blood centers. Located in 45 U.S. states and Quebec, Canada, America’s Blood Centers’ Members operate more than 600 donor centers and provide blood products and services to more than 3,500 hospitals and healthcare facilities across North America.

Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center
Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center began operations on Jan. 1, 1975. Serving the largest medical campus in the world, The Blood Center has grown to more than 700 employees and serves more than 170 hospitals and health care institutions in the 26-county Texas Gulf Coast, Brazos Valley and East Texas regions. To meet the needs of the area community, The Blood Center must collect more than 1,000 donations every day. That is why The Blood Center encourages individuals to Commit for Life, which is a partnership between the community and Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center that is focused on saving lives, today… and in the future.

Blood Centers of the Pacific
Blood Centers of the Pacific–the nation’s first community blood center–provides the critical link between blood donors who give the gift of life and patients who depend on this lifesaving gift. Blood Centers of the Pacific provides volunteer blood donations to more than 50 hospitals throughout Northern California. It also houses the Blood Systems Research Institute which conducts groundbreaking research in transfusion safety.
